If I pray hard enough and long enough God will hear me or change His mind!
People seem to think if you pray hard enough and long enough you can make God change His mind. That is not true. God knows what is best for you in any given situation, and it may be something he does not want you to be involved in, do or have. If we can come to that conclusion and understanding our prayer life will be completely different.
God I didn’t need you before, but I need you now!
We seem to only pull God out of a box when something disastrous happens or something in our lives rocks our world and when we get through that we put God back in our little box and move forward till the next event and the process starts all over again.
Weekend Christians!
Some of you have never opened up the Word of God accept on Sundays or Wednesdays or the holidays when you only go to church and you really expect God to answer your prayers? Obedience to God and His Word will not only help you but being obedient will help your prayers and you will understand God better in any given situation.
The struggles!
Some of you are dealing with issues in your life and you have never even thought about having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and yet you really think God is answering your prayers? The bible is clear on this as it says in Psalms 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: This verse also applies to a disobedient Christian.
I am LOST!
If you don’t have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ the only prayer that God will hear is your prayer of salvation. Think about it. You have a broken relationship with God because of the sin in your life. Maybe you think that God hears you but did you ever stop to think that maybe those things may be God’s plan for your life to get your attention so that you would truly repent of your sins and ask Jesus into your heart to save you? I do think that God allows things in our lives even as lost people to make us think He answers our prayer so that we can seek Him. But some of you are still completely blind and lost and refuse to acknowledge Christ for who He is.
Seriously!
Saints how important is Christ to you? How serious do you take Him? Is He your Lord and Saviour or is He someone you hide behind in your sins. Is He first in everything you do say or think? Do people around you KNOW you are a Christian?
Exercise!
Prayer is like exercise. How in shape are you? We all need to examine our lives and see where we stand with Christ in our relationship. Is it null and void, dead, routine or do we pray and get things done in our life?
Bondage!
Some of you are locked up in bondage through sin and can’t break free. You can break free. The bible says repent. Repent means to turn away. Stop putting yourself in situations that cause you to fall over and over again. Some of you have not taken that first step. God always has the light on for you. All you need to do is repent to God and ask Jesus to come into your heart to save you and believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins and on the third day rose again. We may or may not have fears in our lives but we should have the fear of what God may and can do to us..
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
