Encouraging scriptures for men | Godly Men in Training

Encouraging scriptures for men are always a necessity!  We need to be encouraged.  Believe it or not men can be discouraged and sometimes to the point of depression.  If you are an introvert like I am, you are sensitive to encouragement.  You struggle with encouragement, and try to find encouragement in your every day walk in life as a inspired godly man.  Maybe you have not reached that first step towards godliness, and you’re not even a child of God!  If you are not, then my prayer for you is to take that first step! He will change you forever!  Where ever you are at in your lives, I hope this blog post will change that for you. I also want to let you know that you are not alone, you matter to me, you are important to me. If you ever need to talk or to reach out feel free to hit me up on email, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or even Pintrest.  I am available at any time. If you hit me up late in the evening or in the middle of the night, I will get back to you first thing in the morning.

Encouraging scriptures for men: Christ will never leave you!

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

This is a promise of God you can take to the bank, without holding anything back.  He is there in your deepest darkest days, and He is there in your brightest ones!  Regardless of where you are at right now this verse tells me that He will NEVER leave me!  Ever! You can put your life’s savings on that promise and you will have huge returns!

Encouraging scriptures for men: Christ is YOUR Father!

Hebrews 12:6-8 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (7) If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (8) But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

This passage sounds a bit harsh, but hold on for a moment. He is your Father.  His ways are PERFECT and if God is chastising you for sin then you can be assured you are His child! That is an encouragement because if He is NOT chastising you and you have not gotten any sort of correction in your life for your sins, then just as the Bible says here, you are a bastard. In other words you never have a Father in the first place.  Simply put you were never saved! That is a scary place to be in and if you think you are there, please, repent of your sins right now and cry out to Jesus to save you before you take your last breath!

You may have grown up without a physical father for whatever reason, but if you are a blood bought born again believer of the Lord Jesus Christ.  You have the greatest Father in the entire world!  He loves you and He will correct you as His child.  Your relationship with Christ is unique and between you and He, that is why we call it a “personal” relationship!  Sometimes our personal relationships can waiver.   It’s ok, we just need to get back on track and keep going, even if it is multiple times a week!  Ask God to give you the strength and courage to reject whatever it is you are struggling with and He will help you!  Get some men that are more mature than you spiritually that will hold you accountable and pick you up when you are down.

Encouraging scriptures for men: Christ will give you rest!

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Ever had a day where you were just mentally, physically and spiritually drained?  We need rest from Jesus! Jesus says to yoke up with Him and learn of Him!  This rest is good for your souls.  This rest will recharge you spiritually to the point that the rest doesn’t really matter! There are many days in my personal life where I an spent.  I have nothing left to give, so I have to get to my cave and just meditate on God’s Word.  Get recharged.  I have to get away from people for a moment so I can mentally, physically and spiritually rest!  Those times are the best and most intimate times I have with my Savior!  We should all do this.  Get away and unplug from the world for a while and refresh ourselves.  It is ok to do this!  It is necessary to do this.

Encouraging scriptures for men: You have the fruit of the Spirit!

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

This says “fruit” for a reason. This means we have ALL of these traits at once! These do not come over a period of time! We are loaded with abilities that Christ gave us if we are born-again! We just have to tap into them!  There is so much to these traits.  These only come from someone that is born-again.  Christ is the only one that can give all these to us! It is His power not ours!

Encouraging scriptures for men: You are loved by Christ!

John 15:12-13 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

He loves us. Plain and simple.  We are loved by the creator of the universe!  Regardless of how were are loved by our family or our friends Jesus Christ loves us unconditionally.  This can only come from the Savior.  No matter where you look in this world, you will find nothing but conditional love!  What does that mean?  That means in all your sin and shame, and the mess you have in your life you can come to Christ and not have to clean yourself up.  That is His job to dust you off and to make you as white as snow.  It doesn’t come through confession of a man such as a priest or even a Pope.  It comes by seeking Christ directly and telling Him that you have made a mess of your life and you need a Savior to come into your life to clean you up!  That my friends is the greatest encouragement ever out of the entire Bible.  Jesus came to save sinners like us so we can spend an eternity in Heaven with Him!

May your day be filled with the blessings of Jesus Christ!  Much love to all!
