Grieving The Fallen: Heart Felt Call to Come Back to Jesus

I woke up this morning thinking about all those people that have once had a joy for the Lord and now ignore every aspect of Him.  They have fallen. I think about those that I have known very well that have once served, invested and loved the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength but now go about their daily lives as if nothing has happened and they are doing nothing wrong.  I grieve heavily.  Especially over those that are family.  It cuts like a knife.  The pain for for those that have walked away from the faith burns within me.  Not just today, but all the time.

Regardless of what mood I am in when people seem me.  Inside I hurt.  Not like a depression, but I hurt because I still love those that have fallen many times in my prayers with tears of sadness flowing down my cheeks I beg God to bring them back.  I beg God to do whatever it take to get them to realize the seriousness of the path that they have taken.  That they would repent.

Christianity is not a world of happy people and sinless lifestyles.  If we really look at Christianity and the lives of Jesus and His disciples you will see suffering, pain, disappointment. You will also see fallen men.  I think of Judas.  He was in the presence of the living God and ministered with Christ.  He ministered to others, then with 30 pieces of silver he sold the King of kings to the cross.  Dying. Sure He needed to.  That is the most common story everyone knows.  But Judas fell. He tried to back out of it but could not. It was too late.

Is it too late for you?  Is it too late for those that have fallen?   There will come a point on those people’s lives that their souls will be required.  God is long suffering but soon or later that long suffering will run out and God will say enough is enough, you are of no use to me anymore.  Come up hither

As I was driving in to work this morning.  Proverbs chapter 8 was very loud to me.  It is so applicable to today’s feelings and today’s fallen believers.  It starts off so powerful.

Proverbs 8:1-14

Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

Why would God put Proverbs chapter 8 in here?  He is calling out to those that have fallen.  They became fools, rebelled, ignored, are disobedient and ignorant of wisdom.  God is crying out from the mountain tops, saying, “I AM HERE! COME BACK TO ME! YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT ON YOUR OWN! YOU NEED ME! I LOVE YOU! SEEK MY WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING! COME BACK! COME BACK!

Proverbs chapter 8 continues:

Proverbs 8:17-21

I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

Wisdom is far greater that what the fallen has gone down.  The path of destruction is so much easier so much more exciting.  You are deceived oh fallen one.  Get back to the righteousness of God!  He knows what is best! Then there is last four verses in Proverbs chapter 8.

Proverbs 8:33-36

Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

God is saying, “LISTEN, DON’T REFUSE IT! THERE IS LIFE TO THOSE WHO FIND WISDOM AND YOU WILL RECEIVE FAVOR OF THE LORD! IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT THEN YOU WRONG YOUR OWN SOUL AND DEATH WILL COME!

What are doing oh fallen ones.  Hear me.  Turn back to the Lord!  Seek His face! Seek His wisdom.  He will give you understanding and great grace!  Come back to the flock! He is waiting for you!

Come Unto Me Fallen Believer!

Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
