Are we saved or are we playing games?

Are we saved or are we playing games?

God knows we are playing games, but sometimes we get to a point where we forget who we belong to. What started out as serving the Lord and doing all there is to do for the Lord ends up falling away. The next thing you know you stop and look around wondering how in the world did I get here?

Psalms 1:1 says:

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

Notice this man was walking. He ended up waking with the ungodly. Then the man is standing. Then sitting.

It doesn’t happen overnight!

This does not happen overnight it is over a period of time. One day you are doing fine and everything is perfect then you seem to think. I can be over here. After all I am strong enough. Then you end up stopping and telling yourself This is not bad. I still have God. Then you end up doing what the others are doing and you forget who you are supposed to represent.

You can’t handle it yourself!

You may think it is something you can handle yourself but I can tell you this. You will not last very long and eventually will end up falling into the same sins as everyone else.

Tread lightly!

We need to tread lightly in our walks there are far too may people that seem to think just because they have a ticket to heaven they can do what they want to when they want to when in reality they are living a life disobedient to the Lord

Playing games?

Some of you folks are leading a double life. You may be married and in the hidden part of your life you have another relationship going on. You may be hiding it from mankind but you are definitely not hiding it from God and my prayer today is that you would be caught. You know who you are and God knows who you are. Some of you are caught up in some things that completely undermine what the word of God says and you know it and yet it does not even phase you one bit. In fact I have no doubt that we are at a point in time that we are seeing a great decline in the fear of the Lord. Not fear as in scared but reverence fear to the almighty King!

1 Timothy 4:1-3 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; (2) Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; (3) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Playing games doesn’t phase you?

If you are not a bit phased by this post you may want to ask yourself if you are even saved or not. Because a truly saved person will do everything they can to bring glory to God. Of course there will be times that we fall. We all do. It’s just like when you are riding your first bicycle without training wheels and you plunge to the concrete. It definitely hurts but what happens next? You get back up and try it again. When we fall we feel absolutely miserable and we repent to Christ and get back up and press forward.

Can you really tell yourself that you are doing all that you can do for the cause of Christ? Do people around you KNOW that you are a born-again believer or did you forget you were? Are you impacting people around you for the cause of Christ or for the devil? Does your life reflect the light of Christ or is it engulfed in darkness?

Stop playing games and repent!

If you are saved and have noticed you are in the wrong place get out turn around and get back on track!

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

If you are not for sure that if you were to die today you would spend an eternity in heaven with the Lord Jesus Christ now is the time to change your path.

Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
